Last May 3rd, the MN CHILL Foundation proudly stood in harmony with fellow changemakers at the SOARNORTH Gala—Northside Achievement Zone’s largest and most impactful fundraising event of the year. Held at the iconic Armory, the evening was nothing short of extraordinary. From Jon Batiste’s electrifying performance to scholar Janiya’s powerful story of perseverance, every moment echoed the transformative power of community and opportunity.
Since 2016, our foundation has been deeply rooted in St. Paul’s Rondo neighborhood—evolving from a six-week Freedom School into a year-round initiative focused on academic support and CHILL Fitness programming. As we expand our vision into Minneapolis, attending SOARNORTH was more than a milestone—it was a moment of alignment and affirmation that we’re ready to elevate our impact.
We extend our deepest thanks to Philicia Douglas of the Minnesota Twins for welcoming us to your table. Your invitation made the night even more meaningful. We left inspired, empowered, and more committed than ever to the call: Let’s keep marching.
