Valeda Huff is a retired Human Resources (HR)/Employee Relations (ER) professional. During her 40 + years working in the corporate arena, Valeda was employed by 2 Fortune 500 companies in the financial services industry; 30 years with Prudential Financial, followed by 12 years with Wells Fargo and Company. Her last title/position before retiring from Wells Fargo in March 2017 was Vice President and Senior Employee Relations Consultant, supporting the company’s Dealer Services and Consumer Lending organizations.
Valeda has an extensive background and experience in the HR profession; which includes serving in a wide range of HR-related functions, such as HR Consultation, Employee Relations, Leadership Development, Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Diversity and Inclusion, Workplace Climate Evaluations, Dispute Resolution, Affirmative Action Planning, and Performance Management. She has designed a myriad of processes and training tools to improve organizational and leadership effectiveness, promote employee engagement/satisfaction, champion workplace excellence, and to increase the awareness and importance of valuing diversity in the work environment. In her management and executive roles, Valeda demonstrated the ability to successfully build valued and trusted relationships with her business partners; gain the respect of her direct reports, fellow HR/ER peers, and leaders – effectively interface with attorneys and other internal support groups, as well as duly represent her employers in multiple discrimination cases involving state/federal agencies, such as the Minnesota Human Rights Department, EEOC, and Department of Labor.
