Attending this year’s Breakfast with the Mayors at the University of St. Thomas was an inspiring experience! Hearing from both Mayor Frey and Mayor Carter, with Tom Hauser as the insightful moderator, set the stage for meaningful discussions on community progress and collaboration.
A special highlight for me was connecting with Mayor Carter, a steadfast champion of the Minnesota CHILL Foundation. I was thrilled to share updates on our exciting partnership with the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood, where we’re expanding programming at Benjamin E. Mays IB World School. By increasing our academic support in reading and math from two days a week to four, alongside our CHILL Fitness program, we’re creating deeper, lasting impacts for students’ overall development. This collaboration is a testament to what’s possible when passionate partners, dedicated staff, and visionary leadership come together to make a difference.
A big thank you to B Kyle for organizing such a phenomenal MLK Breakfast program and to everyone working to build stronger communities. Together, we’re making strides toward a brighter future—this is just the beginning!
