Last week, our co-founder Cindy Hill had the privilege of attending the sold-out NAACP MLK Luncheon in North Minneapolis—a truly unforgettable celebration of legacy, unity, and progress. The event brought together community leaders and changemakers, including US Representative Ilhan Omar and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who delivered powerful words that inspired hope and action. It was a moving tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., highlighting how far we’ve come and the work still ahead in building a more equitable future.
A special shoutout to Lisa Anderson of Events with Taste Catering for treating everyone to a soul food spread that not only satisfied but also brought people together in the spirit of connection. We also want to applaud Cynthia Wilson, Norma Anderson, Katie Flanigan, Cindy D, and the incredible NAACP Minneapolis chapter team for their dedication to creating such a meaningful and impactful event
From powerful speeches to heartfelt moments of connection, this was more than just a luncheon—it was a testament to the strength and resilience of our community. Dr. King’s legacy is alive and well, and gatherings like this remind us all to keep pushing forward together!
