Wrapping Up a Dynamic Summer: Freedom School Xpress at Rondo

This summer, the Minnesota CHILL Foundation proudly concluded our Freedom School Xpress program at the Rondo site with a grand finale. Over the past six weeks, we have been dedicated to empowering over three hundred scholars through our fitness programs, held at Hazel Park Preparatory School, Sandburg Middle School, and John A. Johnson Elementary School.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tony Sanneh for partnering with us to bring his free summer camps to the youth of Brooklyn Park. This collaboration has been an incredible opportunity for our community, providing local kids with a fun and enriching experience right in their neighborhood. We also want to give a special shoutout to Darrell Moffitt, the Director of Basketball at The Sanneh Foundation, for being such a fantastic partner. His passion and dedication have made a significant impact on the success of these camps.
Join the Gus Macker Basketball Tournament and Support Local Nonprofits!

We’re excited to announce that the Minnesota Chill Foundation, a Brooklyn Park nonprofit dedicated to using athletics to enhance students’ academic and leadership skills, is one of several organizations benefiting from the upcoming Gus Macker Basketball Tournament. The tournament will take place on August 17 and 18 at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park.
Empowering Education: Minnesota CHILL Foundation’s 3rd Annual Backpack and School Supply GIVEAWAY!

In our first year, we gave away 1,000 backpacks, and last year, we distributed 1,500. This year, we are even more excited as we aim to surpass these numbers and support even more students. Our goal is to ease the burden on parents and ensure every child starts the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.
